A visit for travel photographer, who I am with a photography passion.
Laos was my fourth country on my trip to East Asia. I spent three weeks from the north to the south whereas I took several pictures of landscapes and sceneries all along my trip.

My first stop was Luang Prabang, located between the Mekong and the Nam Khan rivers. Temples and monks processions were the highlight of the city. There were over thirty temples in the city giving it a very spiritual atmosphere. The gold and burgundy grounds make it calm and relaxing. Wat Xieng Thong, which was built in the 1950s is the most famous temple. Moreover, there are customs to be followed and it is important to follow them so as to not offend the locals.

The monk procession is something to behold since they start early in the morning where the monks walk around the streets and each gets a heap of the Lao staple sticky rice in their
bowls. The ritual is done in silence and the monks walk in meditation.

Let me say that The turquoise waters falls of Kuang Si Falls are also stunning area to hang out in fresh water.

Afterwards, I proceeded to Vang Vieng to the north of Ventiane.

The Blue Lagoon water is beautiful and the zip lining is a popular activity. The rice paddies are lush
and beautiful to photographers from around October and March. Finally, kayaking on the Nam Song River
remains an unforgettable experience.

Laos

In the following time, I stopped at Ventiane the capital to have a look and feeling the city’s atmosphere.
Buses were the best way to get around the three cities. Besides doing a long journey by
bus to Pakse, I shared with friends that I’ve met on the road the commonly known motorbike loops for a couple of days. Whereas I explored the Bolaven Plateau known for

its great scenery and tribal villages before proceeding to Thakhek Loop.  The Thakhek Loop (Central Laos) is filled with endless mountains and caves while Pakse loop (Southern Laos) offers us waterfalls and rainforests. 

My trip ended up at the inevitable Four Thousands Islands which are at the border of Cambodia, right place to relax  installed in the hammock of the bungalow in front of the Mekong River. 

All in short, the perfect place for meditation, yoga and editing pictures.
